I’ve had this post sitting in draft for a long time and for some reason hadn’t posted it yet – but then today my colleague Matt sent me a link to the Scripting Guy’s PowerShell Holiday Gift Guide.
Yes I do love my PowerShell (and I’m hoping that Santa will bring me a copy of that very useful-looking PowerShell Analyzer), but more that that – I don’t think you can manage the FIM Portal without it, and you’ll quickly find many Sync Service uses for it too.
I use scripts to perform bulk uploads and modifications, reporting, data and config analysis… and now that I’m comfortable with Craig Martin’s FIM PowerShell activity I’m doing a lot of custom workflow with it too.
So if you still haven’t got into PowerShell make it number one on your New Year’s Resolution list!
And also, have a lovely holiday if you’re taking one, and best wishes for 2013.
